Party Leader


He is 45 years of age and comes from Turkana County. He is the founder of Thirdway Alliance Kenya, a party that responds to the need of Kenyans and call for responsive and transformative leadership in Kenya.

Dr.Ekuru was appointed to chair the selection Panel that recruited the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) in 2011 after parliamentary approval.

He has great concern for people especially from the marginalized communities, women, children and the youth. Not forgetting to mention that he is the founder and President of Ekuru Aukot Foundation, which supports education for nomadic and pastoralists boys and girls.

He strongly believes that the continent has everything it needs (great minds, potential, resources e.t.c) that is undermined by poor leadership that has greatly failed in exploiting the continent's abundant potential.


He is a constitutional law expert.

  • He successfully performed, as the Secretary/CEO of the Committee of Experts (CoE), during the drafting of Kenya's 2010 constitution.
  • He was UNDP’s Chief Technical and Senior Constitutional Advisor to the Liberian Constitutional Review Committee (CRC).
  • As an Expert on Constitutional-Processes (2016), he assisted The mountain kingdom of Lesotho to develop a roadmap for constitutional-making process.
  • He has spoken and advised on Constitution building processes in Egypt, Tunisia, South-Sudan, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Ukraine, Germany, the Hague at the Jackson Institute for Global affairs(YALE), Cornell School of Law, New York, and at Trinity College Connecticut,USA.


He studied for his PhD and LLM in International Refugee Law and Law in Development at the University of Warwick UK.
LLB(University of Nairobi) and Diploma in Legal Practice(Kenya School of Law).
He is an advocate of the high court of Kenya, Commissioner for Oaths and Notary Public, and the Founder of EA law Consulting.
